Aluminum conductors |

| |
The aluminum conductors for distribution and transmission divide themselves in two great groups:
1. Conductors formed by a single alloy and material as they are it AAC and AAAC.
2. Conductors composed, formed by different alloys or different materials as they are it the ACAR and the ACSR.
AAAC (TABLE I)
These conductors are made with aluminum alloy 6201-T81 (Arvidal). This alloy offers greater burst strenght and hardness that conductors AAC. Norms ASTM B-398 and B-399, Covenin 557.
AAC (TABLE II)
These conductors are constructed with aluminum threads 1350 H19 (extra it last) and he is divided in classes according to the flexibility. Norms: ASTM B-230 and B-231, Covenin 533.
ACAR (TABLE III)
These conductors are constructed with a nucleus of alloy wires 6201-T81, surrounded with alloy wires 1350-H19. They present/display a reinforcement greater than conductors AAC and a conductivity greater than the AAAC. Norms: ASTM B-230, 398 and 524.
ACSR (TABLE IV)
These conductors are conformed by a wire or it braid concentric of steel with nucleus surrounded by wires 1350 H19. The proportions of aluminum and steel can be varied to obtain the best relation between the cargo capacity of current and the mechanical resistance.
